Ponte 16 expansion 2025. In response to a question from the media, an executive for one of the property’s investors stated that construction on the extension of facilities at Macau’s Ponte 16 casino resort complex is anticipated to begin in the “first half of 2025.”
“We anticipate to start construction in the first half of 2025 and complete within two years,” said Hoffman Ma Ho Man the deputy chairman of Success Universe Group Ltd., which is listed in Hong Kong.
He commented: “Our budget cost hasn’t been concluded at the moment as we are conducting fine tuning” on the project.
Together with a division of Macau casino operator SJM Holdings Ltd., Success Universe is a partner in Ponte 16, a waterfront property in the Inner Harbour neighborhood of Macau. The complex’s gaming facility is regarded as SJM Holdings’ “satellite” operation.

The long-awaited extension of non-gaming facilities at Ponte 16 and a renewed and modified public land concession for the property were both publicly approved by the local administration on Wednesday. The notification included a “commercial building,” a “plaza,” and what was referred to as a “vessel” called “Macau Palace” as permitted facilities.
A floating casino known as “Macau Palace” was once operated by SJM Holdings’ historical company. As part of the casino company’s investment commitment to non-gaming and urban revitalization, SJM Holdings announced in December 2022 that the Macau Palace building would be transformed to house stores, food and beverage establishments, and a museum-style facility, soon after the company was awarded a new 10-year gaming concession.
The Ponte 16 land concession stipulates that the extra amenities must be completed within 36 months of the land-rights publishing date.
