Wind Creek Hospitality has revealed the widely anticipated opening date of Wind Creek Chicago Southland on Monday, November 11, 2024.

The cutting-edge casino is the first step in delivering a full-scale integrated resort experience, with completion slated for spring 2025.

Wind Creek Chicago Southland, which spans an impressive 70,000 square feet, features over 1,400 slot machines, 56 table games, high-limit slot areas, a high-limit table games salon, a poker room, a dynamic sportsbook, and four Hidden Gems spread throughout the casino floor, each offering visitors a unique and customizable private gaming and event microenvironment. Designed with tailored entertainment spaces in mind, this new offering promises to reinvent leisure and hospitality for the whole area.

Wind Creek Chicago Southland is planned to provide over 1,000 full-time employment in industries ranging from hospitality to technology. Security, gaming attendants, food service, IT technicians, and environmental services will be among the positions available, underlining Wind Creek’s commitment to supporting the local economy. Additionally, Homewood and East Hazel Crest, along with 42 other south suburban areas, will benefit from gaming money, which will be used to pay important local services in the adjacent and surrounding regions.

On November 6 and 7, the Illinois Gaming Board conducted two necessary test days in the casino, with an extended invitation to family members and local leaders. Wind Creek Hospitality got notification of permission on November 8th to open on Monday, November 11th at around 11:00 a.m. 

The November 11 debut is simply the start of what will be a hallmark destination. Guests looking for a variety of activities will have access to high-limit gaming rooms, a hotel, spa, poker room, sportsbook, and other amenities. Wind Creek’s collaboration with Fabio Viviani Hospitality Group will also bring an amazing selection of specialty restaurants and food and beverage options to the eagerly awaited resort.
