The two largest casino operators in South Korea reported strong gains in November, with Grand Korea Leisure up 32.6% and Paradise Co. up 31.3% over the previous year’s numbers.
The operator of Paradise City and smaller locations in Seoul, Busan, and Jeu Jeu, Paradise Co., reported a gross gaming revenue (GGR) of US$51.2 million in November. Table gaming income was 16.7% of total revenue, while slot machine revenue was constant at the same level as the previous year.
GGR has so far this year surpassed last year’s results by 10.1%, hitting US$533m.

On the other hand, Grand Korea Leisure’s GGR of US$26.1m was its first month of improvement in a while. Slots increased 18.7%, while tables increased 21.4%. However, compared to its rival, GGR’s year-to-date revenue is still down 2.1%, at $250 million. Through its Seven Luck brand, it runs casinos in Busan and Seoul.
