One of the NHL’s most legendary franchises and PokerStars have reached a historic agreement.
On Tuesday, the operator of the online poker site revealed a new alliance with the Philadelphia Flyers, which is the team’s first agreement with a poker company. PokerStars is now an official sponsor of the Flyers thanks to the arrangement, which also includes fan-focused activations.
In partnership with the Flyers, PokerStars will offer its players the chance to win Wells Fargo Center game tickets and special signed memorabilia.
Since 1996, PokerStars has maintained a presence in the Flyers’ home arena. During Flyers broadcasts, the supplier of online gambling sites will also be featured in television commercials.
Rob Battista, Senior Director of Commercial at PokerStars North America, stated, “We are ecstatic to collaborate with such a cherished hockey team.” “We are excited to work with the team to bring thrilling tournaments and prizes to our communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey because hockey fans are among the most ardent in the world.”

PokerStars bolsters its position in the sports industry
The Flyers’ agreement with Poker Stars expands the company’s portfolio of professional sports alliances.
The Flutter-owned company expanded its presence in Michigan in 2022 when it signed a multiyear contract with the Detroit Red Wings. Through the agreement, PokerStars became the Red Wings’ official sponsor, and the two organizations will educate Red Wings supporters about responsible gambling.
In the same year, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Maple Leafs, partnered with PokerStars and FanDuel.
