The Córdoba Lottery announced that the three bidding organizations for the concession of casinos, hotels, and slot machines in the province of Córdoba had submitted changes to their original plans, and that the selection process will be completed soon.
“After surpassing the different phases for the awarding of casinos, hotels, and slots in the Province, the Córdoba Lottery informs that it has requested the bidding companies to enhance their original proposals and alternatives submitted in the various areas of interest,” according to the formal notification.
It also states that the corporations CET, Boldt, and Casino Victoria responded “positively and immediately” to the request.
According to the Lottery, the last step of the bidding process is now in the hands of the Evaluation and Monitoring Commission, which “in the upcoming days must decide if any or several competitors will be awarded.”

CET SA (current concessionaire), Casino de Victoria, and Fuente Mayor, a Mendoza-based corporation, filed proposals for the zone that includes Alta Gracia, Cruz del Eje, and Río Ceballos municipalities. Meanwhile, for the tender’s “Federal and Tourist Rings,” the same firms, together with Boldt S.A., filed bids.
Boldt SA, CET, and Casino de Victoria SA are still in the running. Local news reports that CET is almost certain to continue its casino business in Alta Gracia, Río Ceballos, and Cruz del Eje. These are the three cities where infrastructure (rooms and/or hotels) must be constructed.
Earlier this month, the results of the first stage of the provincial slot management tender were released, with CET emerging as the clear frontrunner overall. Córdoba already has 4,022 slot machines in operation, while the law allows for up to 5,000, and companies in the sector produced about 38 billion pesos in income last year.
