“We are pleased to report yet another increase in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, reflecting steady growth in the state’s tribal gaming industry,” remarked Jackie Johnson, Director of ADG. “This growth demonstrates the strength of the partnership between the state and Arizona tribal partners.” Notably, total tribal donations to the Instructional Improvement Fund have already exceeded $1 billion, illustrating tribal gaming’s considerable and ongoing influence on education and communities throughout Arizona.
According to the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compact, tribes owning casinos provide a portion of their Class gross gaming income to cities, municipalities, and counties. ADG controls 25 Class Il casinos in Arizona in conjunction with tribes. Since FY 2004, the state and its cities, municipalities, and counties have collected almost $2.3 billion in total contributions.
