Sportradar will upgrade the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation’s technology in a number of other ways.
A press release A comprehensive, multi-year partnership with Sportradar has been announced by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) to improve the performance of its athletes at all levels of the sport, from amateur to professional.
In order to generate comprehensive metrics and dynamic visualizations from each rally, point, and match, Sportradar will begin using computer vision this season to gather extensive data from CBV matches and training sessions on the beach and the court. This will give coaches and teams important information that will help Brazilian volleyball develop and succeed.
Sportradar will carry out a number of other technological enhancements for the federation in coordination with VolleyStation, another CVB partner.
These include automated data gathering and video production capabilities at the national team training complex in Saquarema; a Brazilian Player Data Hub to measure athlete growth; and a new Video Checking System at 22 training venues to improve officiating.

Additionally, through Sportradar’s industry-leading Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) and instructional workshops for athletes, administrators, and referees, CBV will collaborate with Sportradar to protect more than 7,400 CBV matches annually from corruption and match-fixing.

One of Brazil’s most prosperous sports confederations, the CBV, has won 12 indoor volleyball and 14 beach volleyball Olympic gold. With nine championships, Brazil is also the most successful team in the Volleyball World League’s history.
