World Pool, the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s largest commingled horse racing pool, has announced a partnership with four-time LONGINES World’s Best Jockey Ryan Moore for the 2025 season.
The 41-year-old stable jockey for Aidan O’Brien’s powerhouse Ballydoyle business has rode Group 1 winners all around the world and will compete in several of this year’s important World Pool events.
Moore’s position as an ambassador will include frequent blogging and insights ahead of big racedays, as well as appearances in advertising and marketing efforts.
Moore, World Pool’s ambassador, stated, “World Pool has been such an essential addition to the overall racing business over the past several years, and I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for the brand.
“The Hong Kong Jockey Club deserves to be praised for all of their efforts and investments. I’ve always thought that Hong Kong is the model for how horse racing should be handled, and World Pool is helping to highlight the greatest races on a worldwide scale. It’s fantastic that race fans from all around the world can place bets in these enormous pools.
“It is critical that the racing community begin to collaborate and pull in the same direction. If we all speak with one voice and work toward the same goals, the entire sport will benefit greatly. World Pool will play an important role in this, and I am excited to be a part of it.”
Mr. Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Jockey Club, stated, “Ryan Moore has been at the summit of our sport for many years, and it is right that a world-class jockey of such worldwide acclaim and respect is an ambassador for World Pool.
“Ryan is not just a world-class rider, but also a very bright man who is enthusiastic about racing and its future. He understands the benefits that World Pool brings to racing throughout the world, and we can’t think of a better individual to represent the brand.
“As a four-time winner of the LONGINES World’s Best Jockey Award, Ryan’s achievements in horse racing countries throughout the world demonstrate his professionalism, and his support for the World Pool’s good influence on horseracing internationally is consistent with our mission.
“We had a successful 2024 with World Pool, and we plan to expand it in 2025 with additional fixtures, races, and split cards. New Zealand will hold World Pool races for the first time, and all 12 Hong Kong Group 1s in 2025 will be held under the World Pool name.”
