PSG filed the lawsuit against the crypto casino’s parent business, AK Global NV, and the case is expected to be heard on January 22 at the Curaçao Joint Court of Justice.
In December 2022, the Ligue 1 football club secured a one-season sponsorship arrangement with Cbet for the Latin American market.
Despite the fact that the agreement has ended and PSG no longer lists the operator as a sponsor, Cbet continues to identify itself as a partner on social media and on its gaming website.
Cbet continues to list PSG as a partner.
Gameongazette reached out to PSG for comment and clarification that the operator is no longer an official partner.
Among other difficulties, Cbet apparently failed to pay a €5 million enforcement penalty imposed by the Spanish DGOJ gaming authority.
The existence of the bankruptcy procedures was initially revealed in local media and verified by us

Cbet was formerly authorized to provide gaming services under a sub-licence with the master license holder Gaming Services Provider.
However, owing to impending reforms in the island’s gaming sector, the Gaming Services Provider’s licence ended in August 2024, leaving AK Global NV without any legal permits.
Cbet, which we confirm is neither geoblocked in France or the United Kingdom, no longer shows any gaming licences on its website.
The Cbet case follows BC.Game ruling
The bankruptcy case follows a similar scenario earlier this month in which crypto casino and Leicester City FC jersey sponsor BC.Game was declared bankrupt after failing to pay its commitments.
According to court records obtained , they included unpaid player claims as well as another Spanish government penalty in 2022.
Following the bankruptcy, BC.Game shuttered the UK TGP Europe-licensed site, and the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) issued a letter stating that it intended to withdraw the license.
The company’s current licensing, under which its main offshore crypto casino trades, is a provisional permission issued earlier this year.
These permits have lately come under question, despite the Curaçao gaming regulator’s categorical denial of all claims against it and emphasis on the judicial procedures’ integrity.
BC.Game met with regulators last Friday (November 29) to present its case, with reports indicating that the final verdict will be released at the end of the week.
Leicester City FC defended its jersey sponsor in a statement, emphasizing the administrative nature of the decision.
Gameongazette knows that the operator is presently looking for a new gaming licence on the South Pacific island of Vanuatu.
