OKTO, a major worldwide paytech business, has announced the complete purchase of Aplauz CH GmbH, the Swiss subsidiary of Aplauz Financial Services Ltd.
This strategic purchase increases OKTO’s position in the Swiss market, allowing the firm to expand its client base and provide novel payment services to the market while retaining and improving Aplauz CH GmbH’s current infrastructure in the region.
Under OKTO’s ownership, Aplauz CH GmbH will continue to provide its Aplauz prepaid payment service through online merchants and retail distribution partners, rebranded as OKTO.VOUCHER. The transfer will be smooth, providing continued service to all partners and customers.
OKTO also offers OKTO.CASH to the Swiss market, which is a rapid, direct cash-to-online payment option that has previously been established in many European markets, including Romania, Greece, the Czech Republic, Germany, Cyprus, Italy, and Serbia.
Aplauz CH GmbH, currently under OKTO’s leadership, has received regulatory permission from the Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) VQF to provide OKTO.VOUCHER and OKTO.CASH services in Switzerland.
