The promoter of the Jeju Dream Tower resort (seen in a file photo) on the island of Jeju in South Korea, Lotte Tour Development Co Ltd, reported casino sales of KRW24.20 billion (US$17.7 million) in October, a 22.2 percent increase year over year.
The complex’s foreigner-only gaming operation saw a 14.9 percent decline in casino sales in October when measured sequentially. According to a filing made to the Korea Exchange on Friday, that is. The rationale behind the modifications was not discussed.
At over KRW7.70 billion, Lotte Tour’s October hotel sales were up 13.0% on a sequential basis but down 12.9% from the same month in 2023.
The net revenue from table games in October was KRW23.14 billion, down 14.8% from September but up 25.0 percent from the previous year.

The net revenue from machine games last month was slightly under KRW1.06 billion, a decrease of 17.3 percent from the previous year and 16.5 percent from the previous quarter.
October’s casino table drop, or the amount patrons paid to buy chips for table games, was KRW137.07 billion, up 5.9 percent from the previous month but down 4.4 percent from the previous year.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the gaming operation’s revenue reached KRW244.97 billion, which is 103.9 percent more than it was a year earlier. Machine gaming income increased by 35.8% year over year to KRW15.50 billion, while table revenue increased by 111.0 percent to about KRW229.47 billion.
