William Hill, the top bookmaker, will expand its support for Irish racing by becoming the title sponsor of the legendary William Hill Spring Festivals Trials Day at Naas Racecourse on February 23, 2025.
William Hill will expand their sponsorship portfolio in Ireland with four races: the Grade 3 William Hill Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle, the William Hill Nas Na Riogh Novice Handicap Chase, the William Hill Handicap Hurdle, and the William Hill (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
Last season, Bottler’secret won his hurdles debut in what is now the Grade 3 William Hill Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle, and the Gavin Cromwell-trained four-year-old went on to win a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse’s Easter Festival before finishing second in Grade 1 company at the Punchestown Festival.
Gerri Colombe, Stellar Story, and William Munny are among the most well-known winners of the William Hill (Pro/Am) Flat Race, which has previously included Ile Atlantique, Caldwell Potter, and Wingmen.
The William Hill Nas Na Riogh Novice Handicap Chase has previously been won by subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner and Grade 1 heroine Limerick Lace, as well as Home By The Lee, who has emerged as a prominent light over hurdles at the Grade 1 level.

Aidan McGarry, Manager of Naas Racecourse, said, “We are thrilled to welcome William Hill as a sponsor for one of our signature fixtures.
“Naas Racecourse is a well-known breeding ground for champions, both over jumps and on the flat, and Festivals Trials Day at the end of February is well scheduled with the correct sort of events for horses to go on to win lucrative jumps races at the big spring festivals.
“William Hill are title sponsors at both Cheltenham and Punchestown and we look forward to watching horses from our fixture on 23rd February go on to compete at those festivals as well as the likes of the Grand National meetings at Fairyhouse and Aintree.”
Andrew McCleave, Head of Marketing for William Hill Ireland, stated, “We are delighted to be supporting the Spring Festivals Trials Day at Naas. This card has been a fantastic springboard for potential stars in recent years, and we’re looking forward to seeing which bright people compete at Naas on February 23rd.
“We also consider this raceday as an excellent addition to William Hill’s Irish sponsorship lineup, which includes our main season sponsorship of Dundalk Stadium and the William Hill Champion Chase at the Punchestown Festival.
“William Hill views itself at the heart of the Irish racing scene, not only via our extensive sponsorships, but also through our team of ambassadors, which includes Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue. This additional partnership fits right in, and we can’t wait for the action later this month.”
