The Muscogee Nation, Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises, and Coweta City authorities broke ground on the Muscogee Nation’s $100 million capital commitment to create the Coweta Casino Hotel on 17 acres at the southeast corner of East 131st Street South and State Highway 51 in Coweta, Oklahoma. The project will produce 250 new employment and will open in the spring of 2026.
The 104,000 square-foot complex includes a 35,000 square-foot casino with 750 gaming machines. The construction will also assist regional tourism by providing an upmarket 46-room hotel with a pool, fitness center, concierge services, and a conference and event space that can accommodate up to 150 guests.
“Investing in the City of Coweta represents a remarkable new chapter in our growing entertainment and hospitality legacy,” stated Muscogee Nation Principal Chief David Hill. “We are thrilled to develop land across our historic reservation, and this project complements our considerable economic development efforts in the wider Tulsa area. The Coweta Casino Hotel will increase cultural tourism, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for our inhabitants.”
The Coweta Casino Hotel will also feature a raised center casino bar, a full-service restaurant with 150 seats, and a private dining room. Outside, guests will be greeted by a 1,000-space paved parking lot and a bright porte-cochère entrance.

“With a significant investment of $100 million, we hope to create not only a premier destination for guests, but also a thriving hub that benefits the local community and the larger economy,” said Pat Crofts, CEO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises. “From creating hundreds of short-term construction jobs to 250 new, permanent positions in operations, hospitality, and entertainment, this development will support local talent and contribute meaningfully to the area’s prosperity, with a significant, positive economic impact each year. The new complex will include world-class rooms, gaming, dining, and leisure amenities, reflecting our commitment to providing extraordinary experiences and our optimism about the region’s future.”
During the construction phase, the Coweta Casino Hotel’s capital investment will support an estimated 501 jobs in the region, generating $22.6 million in income and having a total economic impact of $132.5 million in Wagoner County.
When fully operating, the Coweta Casino Hotel will produce 250 new direct employment and support an additional 346 jobs in the community, totaling 596 jobs across Wagoner County. These positions will provide $27.5 million in new income annually.
The annual spending on operations, including the procurement of products and services, will also have a favorable economic impact.
In addition to the Coweta Casino Hotel, the Muscogee Nation has committed more than $11.17 million in infrastructure, water resources, and public safety through collaborations with the City of Coweta and Wagoner County since 2019.
“The Muscogee Nation has been a valuable partner to the City of Coweta, with a local investment in infrastructure and public safety that benefits all Coweta citizens of more than $1.5m in the past five years,” according to Coweta Mayor Naomi Hogue. “I am looking forward to an even stronger partnership with this new investment into Coweta.”
“The Coweta Casino Hotel will serve as a powerful economic engine in our local business community,” stated Jake Dwyer, Coweta Chamber of Commerce Board President and Firstar Bank’s SVP Community Bank President. “This development not only adds exciting new amenities and job opportunities for our citizens, but will also generate wider economic benefits by encouraging complementary local businesses and services to invest and grow.”
Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises will hire and train locals and tribal members. Management, gaming services, hospitality, food and beverage services, information technology, security, and facility maintenance are all viable career options.
“This milestone would not have been possible without the vision, collaboration, and dedication of our project partners and community leaders who are here today,” said Andy Langston, COO of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises. “Together, we are creating a foundation for growth, opportunity, and positive change in the Coweta community. We look forward to collaborating to bring this initiative to reality and have a lasting impact.”
