MGM China Holdings Limited, a significant casino and hospitality company in Macau, has announced a new compensation hike that would effect the majority of its employees. The company commended its employees for their hard work and dedication, which have resulted in ongoing corporate success.
MGM China recognized its employees’ contributions
According to MGM China’s official release, 99% of its employees would receive a 2.5% pay increase. The company also said that team members who now earn MOP 16,000 ($1,995) or less will receive a normal wage adjustment of MOP 600 ($75).
MGM China clarified that this will be a rise of 2.5% to 5.5%.
The corporation announced that the pay hike will go into effect on March 24, 2025. It went on to say that the raise reflects the leadership’s appreciation for the employees’ hard work and significant contributions to the company.

The wage raise announcement comes a few weeks after MGM announced a holiday bonus for 95% of its employees. The corporation announced that the bonus will be equal to one month’s salary and will be distributed by Chinese New Year (January 29, 2025).
Other Macau concessionaires followed suit, seeking to acknowledge the accomplishments of their employees.

Pansy Ho, MGM China’s chair and executive director, remarked on the wage hike, expressing the company’s “heartfelt gratitude” to those that make the business possible and work “hand in hand with the company.”
She went on to say that MGM will support the special administrative region’s aims to strengthen and promote the tourism industry by 2025.
In the new year, MGM will continue to completely support the SAR Government’s policy implementation; pragmatically promote the development of all-for-one cultural tourism; and collaborate with the team to enrich Macau’s essence as ‘One Center, One Platform, One Base’.

MGM to refurbish MGM Grand in Las Vegas
In other news, MGM Resorts has revealed plans for a multi-million dollar restoration project in Las Vegas.
According to the company’s announcement, it will spend a stunning $300 million refurbishing its MGM Grand Hotel & Casino complex.
The money will be used to refurbish all 4,212 rooms and suites in the entertainment complex’s main tower. The new rooms will have increased blackout drapes, allowing visitors to get more sleep and solitude.
Meanwhile, the king rooms will be updated with walnut wood finishes, soft gray textured wall coverings, and bright carpet designs, as well as mobile device charging stations.
Earlier this month, Deutsche Bank stated that MGM Resorts International is planning new tactics for the coming year. The firm stated that its business needs may force it to continue boosting its rates.
