The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has fined operator Blue High House SA €1.125 million for selling online games of chance in the Netherlands without the requisite authorization.
In a post on its website, the KSA stated that Blue High House had already received a penalty payment order for the illegal offer.
The authority added that after conducting an investigation, it discovered that Dutch players could participate in online gambling on Blue High House’s betonline.ag website, and that no precautions had been made to prevent them from doing so.
Furthermore, the KSA stated that it discovered other violations by Blue High House, resulting in a greater penalties than the original amount of €600,000.

These included offering forbidden games, unauthorized payment methods, and autoplay, as well as a lack of playing limitations and age verification, and allowing users to earn playing credits by referring friends to the unlawful service.
Michel Groothuizen, Chair of the KSA, stated: “The Netherlands has a legal market that allows individuals to bet securely. Blue High House and other illicit providers frequently ignore harmful gaming behavior.For example, gamers may make an account on this website without having to prove their age, therefore children can also participate. We also found features like autoplay and turboplay, which can lead to excessive gaming, and there were no gaming limitations. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia takes harsh action against these sorts of unlawful websites.
According to the KSA, the offering on the website has been discontinued.
However, the authorities will continue to closely watch Blue High House to ensure that it does not make any more illegal services in the Dutch market through other channels. New fines may be imposed if such an offering is discovered.
