In January, sports betting in Maryland brought in $8.2 million for the state

In January 2025, Maryland’s sports betting industry brought in $8,244,612 for the state, which was the fourth-highest amount in a single month since sports betting began in December 2021.

Sports betting has given the state $54,821,117 through the first seven months of FY2025 (July 2024 through January 2025), up from $32,840,755 during the same time period in FY2024.

Sports betting proceeds go to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund, which funds public education initiatives in the state.

In January 2025, Maryland sports bettors risked $618,824,226 and received $536,728,622 in payouts. Maryland boasts 13 physical sportsbook establishments and 11 mobile sports betting sites.
