Macau Snooker Masters returns. Seven-time World Snooker Championship champion Ronnie O’Sullivan will be the main attraction at the second edition of Wynn Macau Ltd.’s “Macau Snooker Masters” event.
According to a press release issued on Thursday, some of the top snooker players in the world are expected to participate in the invitational competition, which will take place at the Wynn Palace resort in Cotai from December 25 to 28.
In Macau, nine “world elite” snooker players will compete, and Mr. O’Sullivan will serve as the “Wynn Brand Ambassador.”

The following players are also on the roster: Marco Fu, a Hong Kong player and three-time ranking event winner; Jack Lisowski, first runner-up of the previous year’s “Macau Snooker Masters”; Chinese professional snooker player Ding Jun Hui, the first Asian player to reach the top of the world snooker rankings; and Jak Jones, first runner-up of the 2024 World Snooker Championship.
Si Jia Hui, Kyren Wilson, Stuart Bingham, and Judd Trump have all been invited to the competition.
The program complements the Macau government’s endeavors to diversify the city’s economy through sporting events that cater to tourists.
Wynn Resorts (Macau) SA, the local division of Wynn Macau Ltd., is organizing the competition in association with Sailing Up Sports. Additionally, the government’s Sports Bureau and Macao Tourism Office promote it.
According to the press release, Wynn Macau Ltd.’s president and vice chairman, Linda Chen, stated that the firm was “committed to hosting premier international sporting events, establishing a diverse global perspective for Macau.”
