Coljuegos, Colombia’s gaming authority, has submitted a new bill to assist in the prevention of dangerous gambling conduct.
According to SBC Noticias, resolution 22654 would incentivize efforts to promote responsible gaming among both players and operators by providing education and increased help for individuals experiencing loss of control.
Operators must now use more strict monitoring to better discover obsessive gamers. Gamblers, on the other hand, will have access to a variety of tools for identifying risk factors and patterns associated with gambling damage.
Coljuegos will head the examination of the new required action plans that operators must submit under the most recent resolution, going into “the actions carried out, the compliance indicators, and the results obtained” presented as part of the audit.

This is the latest move by Coljuegos to strengthen player safety laws in Colombia. Earlier this year, the regulator began collaborating with the country’s National Superintendence of Health to allow the sharing of technical information for behavior surveillance as well as an increase in financing for public health programs.
