Aristocrat, first casino tech firm to be licensed by UAE. Aristocrat, a supplier of gaming equipment and technology, reports that it has been granted a gaming-related vendor license in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company also notes that this is the first license of its kind that the regulator has granted.
According to a news statement issued on Monday:“Aristocrat announced today that the company was the first international slot and online technology company to be granted a gaming-related vendor licence by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), the federal entity overseeing commercial gaming activities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).”
It included “This announcement grants Aristocrat the ability to provide the company’s land-based electronic gaming machines (EGMs) and online games and technology solutions to commercial gaming operators licensed by the GCGRA.”

Listed in Australia, there are three active enterprises owned by Aristocrat Leisure Ltd. These include the company’s land-based gaming technology division, Aristocrat Gaming; its online real money gaming (RMG) branch, Aristocrat Interactive; and its mobile games division, Pixel United.
There is now just one licensed operator in the United Arab Emirates, according to the regulator’s website. This is Wynn Resorts Ltd., a gambling company that is building the Wynn Al Marjan Island casino resort in one of the emirates, Ras Al Khaimah.
According to a recent investor presentation by the casino group, the complex is scheduled to have a “pre-opening” in the first quarter of 2027.
In Monday’s update, Aristocrat -first casino tech in UAE- CEO Hector Fernandez stated: “We are honoured to be the first large, international technology provider to be awarded a gaming-related vendor licence to serve the UAE market.”
In its statement, the supplier also included: “As the GCGRA’s first supplier to obtain the licence, the company will offer world-class gaming content, hardware and services to cater to player interests and financial preferences.”
According to a statement on the regulator’s website, The Game LLC, a lottery operator, has also received a license from the UAE regulator, which is overseen by Jim Murren, a former chairman and CEO of the casino group MGM Resorts International.
