A new variant of Aristocrat Gaming’s popular “Dragon Link” slot machines is set to arrive at the Venetian Las Vegas, and it might change the lives of some lucky bettors.

The Australian gaming equipment developer revealed today that the first “Dragon Link” slots, with a potential jackpot of $2 million, have debuted at the Venetian and Palazzo. Both Las Vegas Strip casinos already have the $1 million edition of the game.

Both assets offer Dragon Link Genghis Khan™ and Dragon Link Peace and Long Life™. Aristocrat Gaming’s MarsX™ Upright cabinet features both, according to a company release.

Not unexpectedly, the $2 million “Dragon Link” machines will join their $1 million counterparts in high-security regions. The Venetian has a High-Limit Slots Salon, while the Palazzo has a high-limit gaming room. Versions of the game with lesser maximum prizes are available on the main floors of both casinos.

While back slot jackpots have the potential to impact winners’ lives in the same way that lottery winnings do, the financial commitment to the former is substantially higher.

Las Vegas and other casino markets frequently feature instances of bettors winning large sums of money on slot machines for pennies, but other gaming devices with tremendous reward potential have high admission fees. Earlier this year, a Caesars Palace Las Vegas customer won $165,000 and then $545,000 on a “Dragon Link” machine, although each spin cost $2,500.

Most state lottery tickets cost only $1, whereas Mega Millions and Powerball cost $2 per entry. Mega Millions tickets will cost $5 starting in April of next year.

Aristocrat’s press release announcing the introduction of the $2 million “Dragon Link” slots at Venetian Palazzo did not specify how much maximum credit bets will cost, although each play is expected to be expensive due to the potential winnings and the machines’ location in high-limit rooms.

Comparing inanimate items to celebrities is a stretch, but some achieve that status. Consider Apple’s iPhone and other consumer goods. In terms of popularity and star power, “Dragon Link” could be considered the slots counterpart of the iPhone.

Already one of the most acclaimed slot machines in the world, “Dragon Link” has a devoted following among gamblers and has enticed rivals who have been pushed back due to legal concerns.

“Dragon Link is among the world’s most popular and award-winning slot games. “Most recently, the game was named the Top Performing Proprietary Branded Game in the 2023 EKG Awards,” Aristocrat stated.
