The wife of a guy who was robbed by a sex worker and died while visiting the well-known hotel and casino resort in Las Vegas is suing the establishment’s owners.
The proprietors of the renowned hotel and casino resort, the Venetian Palazzo in Las Vegas, were sued by the widow and children of a man who died of a drug overdose following an encounter with a prostitute.
The complaint claims wrongful death, claiming that the venue’s security failed to alert the victim that the sex worker had planned to rob him with the help of her pimp.
The accomplice and sex worker had already received prison sentences.
The victim in the criminal case was Jeffrey Jacoby, a 55-year-old Colorado resident who went to the Venetian Palazzo in March 2023. The man went to a work conference at the time, and he was joined by a sex worker he met on the job site early on March 1.
The victim, who had died from a fentanyl overdose, was discovered on the restroom floor hours later. Additionally, the 55-year-old male had been robbed.
One woman and one male were named as the main suspects in the crime. According to reports, the sex worker Cheylee Kessee and her pimp Kashon Glass had a lengthy history of violent crimes, including robberies in which a pistol was used.
After an operation including the Metro Police SWAT squad, the two, who had been under suspicion for a while, were taken into custody.
After supplying the fentanyl that caused the 55-year-old victim to overdose, Kessee and Glass were charged with a number of crimes, including murder. Despite the lengthy number of allegations, the two offenders only acknowledged voluntary manslaughter and robbery.
As a result, Kessee received a 20-year prison sentence and Glass, her pimp, received a 50-year sentence. While the latter must spend at least 20 years before being eligible for parole, the former may be eligible for parole after serving eight years.

Lawsuit Alleges Hotel Security Is Responsible for the Death of the Victim
Jennifer Jacoby, the victim’s widow, recently filed a lawsuit alleging that the owners of the Palazzo, Venetian Casino Resort, are partially to blame for her husband’s death.
According to the lawsuit, the venue’s security ought to have alerted her husband that Glass was following him while he spoke with Kessee, the sex worker.
The lawsuit also alleges that Las Vegas hotel and casino managers knew that the sex worker and her pimp had a lengthy history of “targeting hotel guests to rob and victimize them.”
The plaintiff does not specify the precise amount of damages they are requesting from Palazzo’s owners in their lawsuit.
The 55-year-old victim was discovered on his hotel room’s bathroom floor. After his wife requested a welfare check, a hotel staff found the man, a father of three, who had died from a fentanyl overdose.
